Shizue Sakamoto is a visual artist, children's book author, and freelance illustrator.

Based in São Paulo, Brazil.


As a visual artist, she is represented by Galeria de Arte Luis Maluf (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro/Br) and Via Thorey (Vitória/Br). Her paintings are sophisticated. She uses the oil on linen technique.

The artist has works in the collection of the Pinacoteca de Piracicaba and the Marcos Amaro Foundation.


Representing contemporary art, he has a delicate chromatic research and within this theme she has held several individual and collective exhibitions across the country and abroad, such as Art Basel Miami Beach, Salões de Arte Contemporânea, Sp-Arte and ArtRio.

At the same time, Shizue always kept illustrations in my creative world, writing stories and creating characters.


"Plug" is his first children's book and was published by Uniduni Editora.

She uses watercolor and mixed media in her illustrations. And she has been producing digital illustration.
